UVASYS VS. PAPER SHEET:

• The Uvasys sheet is a new development in the SO2 generator field.

• Uvasys does not resemble the paper sheet in appearance or in behaviour within the grape carton.

• The active ingredient is encapsulated in a wax matrix between two thin plastic films instead of loose in a sachet. This also removes the risk of fruit contamination by chemicals when a sheet is damaged.

• The First Stage performs similarly to the conventional paper sachet sheet.

• The Second Stage has been designed to emit a constant low level of Sulphur Dioxide gas and to protect the grapes over a prolonged period - up to 6 months - with no excessive bleaching.

• Uvasys copes well with ‘real life’ situations (where temperatures can fluctuate during storage and transport) without emitting high levels of gas that bleach the grapes.

• A layer of non-woven inert material is adhered to the underside of the sheet to act as a barrier between the grapes and the sheet.

• The Uvasys sheet is dimensioned in size to fit the carton snugly. This results in an even distribution of gas throughout the carton, offering superior decay control.
